Timelinks and MMA launch the book, "The Tech Phoenix: Satyam's 100-Day Turnaround"

Timelinks in association with Madras Management Association launched the book "The Tech Phoenix:  Satyam’s 100-Day Turnaround" at Hotel Leela Palace, Chennai, on 29 October 2024.

The event was followed by a discussion on the Satyam crisis and the unfolding corporate actions. The book, authored by T.N. Manoharan and V. Pattabhi Ram, recounts the Satyam crisis of 2009 and how the government swiftly stepped in and nominated a board to salvage the company.  The author, T.N. Manoharan, one of the nominated board members, along with V. Pattabhi Ram, narrates the events of the tumultuous 100 days. It turned out to be the fastest turnaround in corporate history. This remarkable corporate rescue operation is an engrossing story that is beautifully narrated by the authors.

The dignitaries included Dr. Anbuthambi; Mr C Siva Kumar, Member, MMA Managing Committee, & Director, Roots Industries India Ltd; Mr Bhaskar Bhat, Chairman, Tata SIA Airlines Ltd; Mr T N Manoharan, Author, & Member - RBI’s Standing External Advisory Committee ; Lt Gen A Arun (Retd), PVSM, YSM, SM, VSM; Mr K Mahalingam, President, MMA, & Partner/Director, TSM Group of Companies; and Gp Capt R Vijayakumar (Retd), VSM, Executive Director, Madras Management Association.

The welcome address was delivered by  Mr C Siva Kumar, Member, MMA Managing Committee & Director, Roots Industries India Ltd.

Mr K Mahalingam, President, MMA & Partner/Director, TSM Group of Companies delivered the introductory remarks.

Opening remarks by the author Mr T N Manoharan, Member - RBI’s Standing External Advisory Committee.

The event was well attended by MMA members and select public dignitaries.
